1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using Campus Biz, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

Campus Biz is intended for Nigerian university students and graduates aged 18 and above. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must:

• Provide your real name, a working email, and a correct, reachable phone/WhatsApp number
• Not share your account credentials with anyone
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized account access
• Use the platform only for lawful purposes

⚠️ Accounts created with fake, incorrect, or unreachable phone/WhatsApp numbers are subject to immediate suspension or permanent ban without refund.

4. Listings & Content

All listings (businesses, products, Quick Sells) must be accurate and honest. You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
• Sell prohibited, counterfeit, or illegal items
• Use another person's identity or business name
• Spam or post duplicate listings

Campus Biz reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these terms at any time without notice.

5. Payments & Payment Protection

All marketplace transactions go through Campus Biz's Payment Protection system. When a buyer pays, funds are held safely by Campus Biz and released to the seller only after the buyer confirms receipt of the item. By using the payment system, you agree that:

• A platform fee applies to all purchases, tiered by item price (2%–5%, with lower rates for larger purchases). The exact fee is itemized and shown before you confirm payment
• Buyers must confirm receipt within a reasonable time; failure to do so may result in automatic release to the seller
• Sellers must deliver the item as described; failure to do so may result in a refund to the buyer
• Disputes will be reviewed and resolved by Campus Biz admin at their sole discretion

6. Quick Sells

Quick Sell listings are active for 7 days and are limited to 3 active listings per user. Quick Sells are subject to the same payment, Payment Protection, and conduct rules as marketplace products. Expired Quick Sells are automatically removed.

7. Premium & Verification

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly and provide enhanced visibility and features. Business Verification is billed annually (₦3,000/year) and expires after 365 days. All payments are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law.

8. Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly forbidden and will result in account suspension or permanent ban:

• Scamming, defrauding, or attempting to deceive other users
• Providing fake contact details (phone, WhatsApp)
• Harassment, abuse, or threats directed at other users or Campus Biz staff
• Attempting to conduct transactions outside the Campus Biz platform to bypass Payment Protection
• Creating multiple accounts to evade a ban

9. Suspension & Bans

Campus Biz reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these terms, without prior notice and without refund of any fees or wallet balance, at its sole discretion.

10. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Campus Biz a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, share, and promote your content on the platform and in marketing materials.

11. Limitation of Liability

Campus Biz acts as a marketplace facilitator and is not a party to any transaction between users. While we operate a Payment Protection system to protect buyers and sellers, Campus Biz is not liable for any losses arising from user misconduct, delivery disputes, or circumstances beyond our control.

12. Changes to Terms

Campus Biz may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Operate and maintain the Campus Biz platform
• Display your business listings to other users
• Process premium subscriptions and verifications
• Improve our services

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your business listings are publicly visible on Campus Biz. Contact information (WhatsApp, phone) is only shared when users interact with your listings.

4. Data Security

We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore to securely store your data. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Update or correct your information
• Delete your account and data — click here to request deletion
• Export your data

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use local storage to remember your login status and preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

Campus Biz is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

9. Payments & Wallet Data

When you make or receive payments on Campus Biz, we store transaction records including amounts, order IDs, and wallet balances. This data is used solely to facilitate Payment Protection payments and withdrawals. We do not store your full bank card details — all card payments are processed securely by Paystack.
